In Spark AI, you now choose per conversation how thoroughly the assistant thinks

In Spark AI, you can now choose between Fast, Medium and High for each conversation. That way we use new AI models where they make a difference, without you having to do anything.

The Dutch heading Elk gesprek de juiste denkkracht, meaning every conversation the right thinking power, next to the Spark AI menu with the levels Snel, Middel and Hoog, and Hoog selected

From now on, you choose in Spark AI how deeply the assistant thinks: Fast, Medium or High. You choose it at the start of a conversation, and the level then applies to the whole conversation. Behind that choice are two new AI models. You will notice faster and better answers, and AI credit that lasts much longer.

Not every question needs the same amount of thinking

"How many stems went to customer X last week?" is a different question from "Which customers grew the most this quarter, and why?". The first looks up a number, the second calls for an analysis. That is why you choose the level per conversation:

  • Fast: for most questions.
  • Medium: thinks longer, for trickier questions.
  • High: the most thorough, for truly complex analyses. This level does use much more AI credit, and Spark AI tells you so.

If you want a thorough analysis after a few quick questions, you start a new conversation on High.

What it gets you

  • At the Fast level, you can ask roughly 20 times as many questions from the same AI credit as with our previous model.
  • Answers arrive more than a third faster.
  • The answers are better: the new models score higher on our own test set of real questions from the ornamental horticulture trade.

That way you don't pay for heavy computation on a simple question, and you have the most thinking power at hand when it matters.

Keeping up without doing it yourself

New AI models are appearing at a rapid pace. Keeping track of which one is better, faster or cheaper, and whether that also holds for questions about your own data, is a job in itself. For most horticulture businesses, hiring someone full-time for that is not an option.

We do it for you. We follow developments in data and AI, test new models on questions from the day-to-day work of growers and trading companies, and only put them to use once they score better on those questions. This update is an example: you don't need to install anything or pick a provider yourself, the new models are ready in Spark AI.

It is part of your subscription. Packages start at €400 per month, excluding VAT, with AI credit included and no implementation costs. That is a fraction of what an in-house data or AI specialist costs.
